Kosher Kingdom

Kosher King was established in 1991 taking over the Kosher Freezer Centre in Golders Green Road. Before long it was evident that the kosher retail market needed a different type of outlet.

Kosher King began to introduce unique lines, some only available from the USA and Israel and specially imported. Kosher King was the first kosher food outlet to extend trading hours from 7am until midnight.

Kosher King began to introduce unique lines, some only available from the USA and Israel and specially imported. Kosher King was the first kosher food outlet to extend trading hours from 7am until midnight.

Another innovation, with kashrus being of paramount importance, was to be licensed by The London Beth Din to ensure that every product bears an acceptable kashrus certification (hechsher).

After 13 years of trading in its original premises the demand for a wider variety of products and the need for more space indicated that a move to a larger site was necessary. This became a reality in 2004 with the move across the road to what was formerly home to Country Market and Kosher Kingdom was established.

On August 28th 2008 at 4.20pm, the shop was devastated by a fire that brought Golders Green Road to a standstill. In the year that it has taken until we re-opened on September 6th, Kosher Kingdom has reconfigured and redesigned the store to provide customers with the best possible shopping environment.
